Our connection to the Dutch music scene goes back long before 704 Records or 704 Studios existed. It started with people, friendships and years spent around music. One of those friendships is with Chaotic Hostility, who we’ve known for more than 10 years.

Dennis and Ricardo have been part of our journey for a long time, and today they’re an established name in the Dutch hardcore and uptempo scene, with releases on major harder-styles labels and performances at events including Defqon.1, Decibel, Dominator and other major festivals. They also built their own platform, Chaotic Universe, continuing to develop their sound and their place within the scene.

But beyond the music, they’re simply our friends.

From the beginning

We’ve shared a lot of years, places, conversations and music together. Long before we had a studio or a record label, we were already surrounded by artists and people from the Dutch scene.

Chaotic Hostility is one of those connections that has stayed with us throughout all those changes.

More than an artist name

For us, Chaotic Hostility has never just been a project or a name on a flyer. They’re people we genuinely cherish, and part of the wider family we’ve built through music.

Wherever we go, that connection comes with us.

A different side of 704 Records

We also think it’s important for people discovering 704 Records today to understand that our involvement in the Dutch music scene didn’t start with the launch of a company.

The roots were already there.

Years of friendships, collaborations, events, studios, artists and conversations shaped what 704 Records would eventually become. Chaotic Hostility is a big part of that history.

From friends to family

It’s special to see how far they’ve come while still being able to look back and remember where everything started.

We’re proud of what Dennis and Ricardo have built, and even more grateful that after more than a decade, the friendship is still there.
