Every journey has a starting point.

For 704 Studios, that place was our very first recording studio in Diemen Zuid (Echtenstein), just outside Amsterdam. It wasn’t the biggest studio or the most luxurious, but for more than three years, it became the foundation of everything we are today.

Thousands of hours were spent behind the microphone, countless ideas were turned into finished songs, and artists from different backgrounds walked through the door with one thing in common: a passion for making music.

Looking back, it’s incredible to realise how much started within those four walls.

More Than a Recording Studio

This wasn’t just where we recorded music.

It was where the vision for 704 Studios truly came to life.

It was where the ideas behind 704 Records, The 704 Collective, and Lyrics & Spirits were developed—projects that would grow into a creative ecosystem focused on supporting artists through recording, production, events, networking, and artist development.

Every late-night session, every brainstorming conversation, every first release, and every lesson learned helped shape the direction of the company.

Building a Legacy

Some of our earliest artists recorded their first songs here.

Long before international collaborations, platinum certifications, and projects with artists from across Europe, this studio was where we learned our craft, built lasting relationships, and established the values that still define 704 Studios today.

It wasn’t about having the biggest room or the most expensive equipment.

It was about creating an environment where artists felt comfortable, inspired, and motivated to perform at their best.

Those principles have never changed.

A New Chapter Begins

Leaving our first studio was never about leaving memories behind.

It was about taking everything we had learned and building something even bigger.

Every studio we’ve worked from since then has carried a piece of Diemen Zuid with it—the same passion, the same commitment to quality, and the same belief that every artist deserves a professional recording experience.

As 704 Studios has continued to grow, we’ve been fortunate to work with artists from the Netherlands and around the world, collaborate on internationally recognised projects, and build partnerships that we could only dream about back then.
