Music Has No Language: Welcoming More International Artists to 704 Studios
One of the most rewarding parts of running 704 Studios is seeing music bring people together from completely different backgrounds.
Recently, we had the pleasure of recording “Natir” (ناطر), the latest release from artist Yazan Khalifa featuring Ammar Muneer. What makes this project particularly special is not just the music itself, but the story behind it.
Yazan arrived in the Netherlands only about a year ago and recently began his journey as a recording artist. Since stepping into our studio, we’ve had the opportunity to work together on his music, including the recording of “Natir,” and we’re already back in the studio working on new songs.
As many people know, I don’t speak Arabic. Yet over the last few years, we’ve noticed something interesting happening at 704 Records. More and more artists from Arabic-speaking backgrounds have been reaching out to work with us, and many of them arrive through personal recommendations and word-of-mouth.
To us, that’s one of the greatest compliments a studio can receive.
It reminds us that while language can be different, the goal is always the same: creating great music.
A good recording session isn’t just about speaking the same language. It’s about trust, creativity, professionalism, and understanding an artist’s vision. Music has a unique way of connecting people, regardless of where they come from or what language they speak.
We’re especially grateful to artists like Yazan, who continue to support 704 Records by sharing their experiences with others. Based in The Hague, he’s already introduced our studio to fellow artists and creatives, helping us connect with talented musicians from communities we may never have reached otherwise.
It’s exciting to see these connections grow naturally.
At 704 Records and 704 Studios, we’ve always welcomed artists from every background, genre, and culture. Whether you’re recording in English, Dutch, Arabic, Spanish, or any other language, our focus remains the same: helping you create music you’re proud of.
As our network continues to expand throughout the Netherlands and beyond, we’re looking forward to working with even more international artists and building lasting relationships through music.
To Yazan Khalifa and Ammar Muneer, thank you for trusting us with your music. We can’t wait for everyone to hear what’s coming next.
Music truly is a universal language.
